Senior Software Developer – Airbag Sensor Systems

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our Airbag Platform Engineering team in Bangalore. You will design, develop, integrate, and verify safety‑critical embedded software for Airbag ECUs, focusing on crash sensing, sensor interfaces, diagnostics, and real‑time control.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software for acceleration, pressure, and crash sensor interfaces.
• Develop signal‑processing, diagnostics, and fault‑handling components for Airbag ECUs.
• Translate system requirements into robust software designs and high‑quality Embedded C code compliant with MISRA C.
• Perform software integration, debugging, root‑cause analysis, and support verification & validation activities.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to automotive functional safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, functional safety, validation, and calibration teams.
• Participate in technical discussions with global engineering teams and customers.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of embedded software development experience in automotive applications.
• Strong expertise in Embedded C and real‑time microcontroller architectures.
• Good understanding of automotive functional safety, ASPICE processes, and MISRA C guidelines.
• Proven analytical and debugging skills with a structured problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in cross‑functional, global teams.
