Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Epsilon is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Bengaluru to help build, operate and evolve highly scalable, resilient and secure cloud platforms supporting critical enterprise applications. The role sits within a large-scale cloud transformation initiative and works closely with Engineering, DevOps, Platform and Security teams to set reliability practices and operational excellence. It is a hands-on technical leadership position covering cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, observability, incident management and reliability engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reliability strategies for distributed systems on AWS and GCP, and define SLIs, SLOs and reliability metrics.
• Build observability solutions using monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting; manage the ELK platform lifecycle and Kibana dashboards.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis and postmortems, and drive vulnerability remediation and OS patching.
• Automate operational processes and routine tasks with Python, Ansible, Terraform, Bitbucket, PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Support cloud and on-premises infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware and data centre environments, and handle BAU incidents, requests and change tickets via ServiceNow.
• Guide teams on reliability-focused architecture, capacity planning and non-functional requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration or IT infrastructure.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent databases.
• Experience across multiple operating systems, with a strong emphasis on Linux.
• Preferred: RHCSA/RHCE, Linux+, VMware or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure); experience with large-scale cloud migrations, chaos engineering, and Agile/DevOps environments.
