Senior Rolling Stock Expert (Electrical)

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a Senior Rolling Stock Expert (Electrical) to support its metro rail bids across India. The role will focus on defining and validating electrical specifications for rolling stock, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical technical specifications for metro rolling stock.
• Assess design compliance with international standards, client requirements, and project criteria.
• Lead technical reviews of traction systems, auxiliary converters, batteries, control circuits, train lines and onboard electrical distribution.
• Review and validate electrical schematics, cable schedules, interface requirements and integration documentation.

Required profile

• Graduate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in railway or railway‑related industry.
• At least 7 years of experience in Metro, RRTS or High‑Speed rail projects.
• Ability to deputize for senior leadership when required.
