Senior Recruiter – Bangalore

About the role

Handshake is looking for a Senior Recruiter to lead hiring for business, operations, and technical roles as we scale our India presence. Based in Bangalore, you will work onsite five days a week, with a shift from 11 AM to 8 PM to accommodate candidate schedules across evening and overnight interview windows.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to define hiring needs, shape role scope, and set priorities.
• Own the full recruiting lifecycle—from intake and sourcing to interviews, offers, and closure—for a diverse set of positions.
• Lead candidate scheduling, interview operations, and logistics for interviews running between 4 PM and 4 AM.
• Build and maintain strong pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles, proactively engage passive talent, and nurture long‑term relationships.
• Provide market insights on talent availability, compensation expectations, and competitive dynamics.
• Contribute to the development of recruiting processes, norms, and ways of working as the India office grows.
• Deliver a high‑quality candidate experience that reflects Handshake’s values.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience supporting business, operations, or technical roles.
• Background in a startup or fast‑scaling environment.
• Comfortable working evenings and overnight interview schedules.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Bangalore.
