Senior Project Controls Manager – Airport Development

About the role

The Senior Project Controls Manager reports to the Project Director and leads project controls for a multi‑airport development programme. The role oversees planning, scheduling, cost management, risk analysis and performance reporting across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule, monitor critical path activities and propose mitigation for delays.
• Implement cost control, budget monitoring and forecasting systems, reviewing expenditures, cash‑flow and forecast‑at‑completion.
• Develop project dashboards, KPIs and executive reports, consolidating data from all packages and highlighting risks.
• Maintain risk registers, perform schedule risk assessments, Monte Carlo analysis and scenario modelling to support decision‑making.
• Provide data‑driven insights to the Project Director, including what‑if analyses for schedule compression and resource optimisation.
• Drive adoption of digital project‑controls tools, automation and advanced analytics to improve performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15‑20 years of project‑controls experience, with at least 10 years on airport or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary project‑controls teams and governance frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP or Primavera P6 Professional are advantageous.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 and MS Project for schedule development and maintenance.
• Power BI for dashboard creation and performance reporting.
• BIM‑enabled project‑controls and digital dashboard implementation.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule forecasting techniques.
• Monte Carlo analysis and predictive forecasting for risk assessment.
