Senior Program Manager – Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) projects. You will be responsible for delivering Bosch's AMI solutions to utility customers, ensuring seamless integration, operation, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end implementation and daily operations of AMI projects.
• Manage all stakeholders including customers, vendors, and partners.
• Report progress to senior management and review outcomes with leadership.
• Ensure delivery of all project milestones, SLA compliance, and quality standards.
• Conduct business process analysis, deployment planning, training development, and execution.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams to complete project activities and deliverables.

Required profile

• B.Tech / MCA or equivalent technical degree (mandatory).
• 15+ years total IT experience, with at least 12 years in project management.
• Minimum 5 years managing AMI / Smart Metering projects.
• Project‑management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both business and technical audiences.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of DLMS/COSEM, IS‑16444, IS‑15959 (parts 2 & 3) protocols.
• Experience with RF and cellular communication technologies.
• Hands‑on work with AMI components: HES, MDM, WFM.
• Understanding of Cloud, Security, and Smart‑meter technologies.
• Software lifecycle experience (development, implementation).
• Enterprise systems knowledge: Oracle, MySQL, Java, XML, TCP/IP, firewalls, enterprise security.
