Retail Associate – Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Associate to join the Retail Center of Expertise within Bain’s Expert Client Delivery unit. The role will support global Bain case teams and end‑clients by developing analytics‑driven solutions for retail challenges such as category management, pricing, space optimisation and customer insights.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deliver analytical solutions across retail domains (grocery, apparel, e‑commerce, B2B, etc.).
• Own complex workstreams, translating client requirements into actionable tasks and overseeing 1‑2 analysts.
• Perform data extraction, cleaning and validation using SQL, Python/R and Excel.
• Create visualisations and dashboards in Tableau or Power BI, and automate workflows with Alteryx or KNIME.
• Generate insights, hypotheses and recommendations, and communicate findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Lead focused meetings and ensure high‑quality, error‑free deliverables.
