Senior PR & Communications Executive

About the role

UDIT is seeking a curious, articulate, and proactive PR and communications professional to enhance the university’s visibility across media and key conversations in education, design, business, technology, culture, and lifestyle. You will work closely with the Communications & Branding team to uncover compelling stories and ensure they reach the right audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop story ideas, media pitches, and expert commentary relevant to UDIT’s activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and publications across multiple sectors.
• Coordinate media interviews, campus visits, and information requests.
• Maintain up‑to‑date media databases, journalist contacts, and PR trackers.
• Support day‑to‑day PR operations while progressively taking ownership of media relations and storytelling.

Required profile

• Graduate in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, or media relations.
• Prior experience with a reputable PR agency is preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, research, and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in media research and journalist outreach.
• Ability to craft compelling press releases and story pitches.
• Familiarity with maintaining media databases and PR tracking tools.
