Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the planning and execution of construction projects across multiple sites in India. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate construction activities and monitor progress against schedules and specifications.
• Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Track key performance indicators, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, and maintain project documentation such as SOPs, HIRA, HAZCOMs, and DPRs.
• Facilitate regular meetings, maintain minutes of meetings, and address project challenges promptly.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Air Ops, SCM, Finance, and HR to support smooth project delivery.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a high‑performance environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project management within power transmission EPC firms in India.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Projects, Monday.com, or Primavera for project scheduling.
• Strong command of the MS Office suite.
• Professional certification such as PMP or IPMA is highly desirable.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
