Senior Performance Engineer – Intel Stack

About the role

Lead Sarvam’s end‑to‑end Intel stack, covering Intel NPU via OpenVINO, integrated and discrete GPUs via OpenVINO and ONNX Runtime, and x86/AMD64 CPU fallback paths. You will be the technical liaison for Intel’s ecosystem and the OpenVINO team.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy Sarvam’s edge models on Intel NPU, dGPU and iGPU while meeting defined SLAs.
• Maintain the OpenVINO build and quantization recipe, including driver‑version compatibility.
• Optimize x86 CPU fallback paths using AVX‑512, AMX and advanced threading strategies.
• Manage the Intel device CI pool and detect regressions across OpenVINO upgrades.

Required profile

• 5+ years of ML deployment experience, with at least 2 years on Intel inference stacks.
• Hands‑on production experience with OpenVINO, model conversion, accuracy validation after quantization, and driver‑version pinning.
• Knowledge of ONNX Runtime execution providers and when to fall back to CPU EP.
• Proficiency in x86 CPU profiling and optimization (VTune, perf) and ability to read hot loops at the assembly level.
