Senior Oracle Database Administrator

About the role

Mastercard’s Database Services Team is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support both project and production environments. You will work across Vocalink systems, ensuring high‑availability, performance, and compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform database troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and rapid incident resolution.
• Contribute to cross‑team problem solving with Network, Unix, Middleware, and Application Support groups.
• Deliver project work on tight timelines, including installations, upgrades, and enhancements of Oracle database systems.
• Document procedures, policies, and best practices; act as a quality gate for new systems entering live service.
• Provide out‑of‑hours and weekend support on a rotating basis (approximately one week in eight).
