Senior Operations Accountant

About the role

The Senior Operations Accountant will own TAGWAY India’s day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations, ensuring strong financial control as the business scales. This is a hands‑on role that requires independent problem‑solving and accurate record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting entries and ERP transactions.
• Handle customer invoicing, AR aging, and collection coordination.
• Process vendor invoices, maintain AP controls, and prepare payments.
• Perform bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and other Indian statutory requirements.
• Lead month‑end closing and produce management reports.
• Oversee inventory accounting, GRN, landed cost and stock reconciliation.
• Review supporting documents before posting financial transactions.
• Maintain customer/vendor master data and audit trails.
• Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks and authorities as needed.
• Support payroll and employee‑related accounting transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow and working‑capital visibility.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Provide reliable, timely financial information to Finance and Management.

Required profile

• Experience in a structured corporate environment with strong ERP exposure.
• Practical knowledge of Indian accounting, GST and TDS.
• Highly organized, accurate and detail‑oriented.
• Strong reconciliation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable challenging incorrect information.
• Independent, accountable and able to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Effective coordination across Sales, Warehouse, Supply Chain and Management.
• Willingness to physically follow issues when necessary.
