Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer at Applied Materials, responsible for developing and releasing new product Bills of Materials for medium‑complex assemblies and supporting manufacturing, test and sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and release new product Bills of Materials (BOMs) for medium‑complex assemblies under guidance of management.
• Create and validate Operation Method Sheets (OMS) and partner with senior NPME on 3‑D solid model virtual analysis (Master Layout, Digital Mock‑Up).
• Participate in design reviews, providing DFA, DFTp, ITO and efficiency feedback to drive cost, quality and cycle‑time goals.
• Manage change control processes including Engineering Change Orders, Non‑Standard Requests, Change Control Board actions and supplier problem sheets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in manufacturing engineering and ability to solve straightforward problems using technical judgment.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to impact quality and team performance within guidelines.

Required skills

• 3D solid modeling and virtual analysis (Master Layout, Digital Mock‑Up).
• Creation and validation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS).
• Root cause analysis and change control processes.
