Senior MSSQL DBA Engineer

About the role

3M is seeking a Senior MSSQL DBA Engineer to join its Core Infrastructure Delivery – Data Platform Delivery team in Bangalore. You will work with global 3Mers to modernize, support, and automate enterprise database environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation, tools, and operational strategies for MSSQL, open‑source, and cloud‑native databases.
• Implement, maintain, and optimise high‑availability, clustering, Always On, replication and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Provide daily operational support, respond to incidents, manage change requests and ensure stable database services.
• Maintain compliance, data‑protection, audit and disaster‑recovery readiness.
• Participate in Agile Scrum teams, represent database interests in cross‑functional projects and help shape the future database vision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years of professional IT experience.
• At least seven (7) years supporting MSSQL database technologies on Windows OS, including stand‑alone and HADR configurations.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience with database migration projects.
