Senior MES Software Engineer

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Senior MES Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable Manufacturing Execution System solutions for its industrial customers in Bangalore or Hyderabad.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#.NET Framework/Core, and Web APIs.
• Create and optimise SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
• Implement responsive front‑end components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate with external systems such as SAP, PLCs, and SCADA as part of MES architecture.
• Participate in requirements gathering, system design, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to understand MES requirements.
• Ensure best practices in coding, security, and system performance.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation.

Required profile

• Knowledge of ISA‑95, 21 CFR Part 11, or GMP compliance.
• Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, or historian systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in C#.NET, Web API development and MES.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server, T‑SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Strong experience in JavaScript and front‑end development.
• Experience or exposure to MES platforms (e.g., AVEVA/Wonderware, Rockwell FT, Siemens Opcenter).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows and shop‑floor integration.
• Familiarity with OPC, PLC communication and industrial data protocols.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
