Senior Mechanical Engineer – Design & Enclosure Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of modular enclosures, panels and related electro‑mechanical equipment. The role involves creating detailed CAD models, preparing manufacturing documentation and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs for enclosures, panels, switchboards, cable trays and mounting systems using Autodesk Inventor or Creo.
• Produce sheet‑metal part and assembly drawings, installation drawings, fabrication weldment drawings and material submittals.
• Generate BOMs, perform weight calculations and ensure compliance with international, national and company standards.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural and controls engineers to resolve cross‑disciplinary technical issues.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously, estimate resource requirements and contribute to engineering meetings with suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in design engineering of electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO and industry mechanical standards.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
