Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Modular Performance Systems

About the role

Join a global leader in fluid‑flow technology as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, focusing on off‑site modular performance systems for HVAC and fire‑pump applications. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, energy‑efficient solutions that support a sustainable future.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering design and development of off‑site modular performance systems, including integrated pump packages and plant rooms for HVAC and fire‑pump applications.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, fabrication drawings and manufacturing documentation using CAD tools.
• Provide detailed engineering support such as bills of materials, calculations and purchase specifications, ensuring deliverables meet schedule, budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, manufacturing teams and suppliers to monitor engineering plans, manage design changes and support site surveys, installation verification and commissioning.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardising design processes, sharing lessons learned and participating in value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC engineering, building services design, fluid‑management systems or industrial project engineering.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and familiarity with HVAC, fire‑pumping, boiler/chiller and cooling‑tower systems is preferred.
• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally (10–25 %).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or CATIA.
• Strong ability to produce engineering drawings, assemblies, fabrication documentation and manage bills of materials.
• Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) and PLM systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
