Senior Manager – Quality

About the role

The Senior Manager – Quality will lead operational excellence and reliability of plant systems for Adani Power Limited. The role combines strategic planning, rigorous quality assurance, and team development to ensure high‑performance plant operations across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans with peers to achieve 100% system availability.
• Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) action points to reduce boiler tube leakages (BTL) and improve unit reliability.
• Monitor timely BTL inspections and Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) to prevent tube failures.
• Ensure material dispatch clearance for smooth operations and assign mechanical, electrical and civil engineers to project phases.
• Oversee regular and unplanned maintenance, including overhauls, to enhance O&M performance.
• Drive modification and station‑excellence projects (fit‑up, welding, alignment, pre‑heating, PWHT, NDT).
• Conduct welder qualification tests during shutdowns to maintain high‑quality standards.
• Enforce Field Quality Assurance (FQA) plans and conduct civil quality inspections for structural integrity.
• Implement QA protocols during spares procurement and review/approve Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs).

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational excellence and reliability of power‑plant systems.
• Strong background in root‑cause analysis and boiler tube leakage mitigation.
• Hands‑on experience with maintenance planning, overhauls, and modification projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive a high‑performance culture.
