Senior Manager, Information Security

About the role

Contentstack is seeking a senior security engineering leader to drive its application and cloud security strategy. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team building, mentorship and the promotion of secure‑by‑design practices across product engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high‑performing security engineering team, defining career paths and fostering continuous learning.
• Drive operational success for application and cloud security, ensuring alignment with department and company goals.
• Provide training and education on secure coding, creating materials and delivering presentations to engineering teams.
• Champion Secure‑by‑Design and Shift‑Left principles, influencing product and engineering groups to embed security early in the SDLC.
• Develop and execute roadmaps to raise security maturity using CIS, OWASP, NIST and NIST AI RMF benchmarks.
• Ensure AI‑related coding practices are secure and oversee penetration‑test reviews and remediation.

Required profile

• 12‑17 years of experience in security engineering, cloud native and microservice environments.
• Proven ability to hire, mentor and scale engineering teams, preferably in a start‑up setting.

Required skills

• AI tools and technologies applied to security workflows.
• Cloud‑native and microservice security design.
• Secure coding practices and penetration‑testing expertise.
• Experience with CIS, OWASP, NIST and NIST AI RMF frameworks.
• Scalable web back‑end, streaming and full‑stack development knowledge.
• Handling production performance issues in highly transactional, large relational systems.
