Senior Manager, HR Technology

About the role

The Senior Manager, HR Technology owns the strategy, roadmap, administration, and continuous improvement of OpenGov’s HR technology stack. Based in Pune, India and reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications and Engineering, the role sets direction for HR technology across the organization and partners with stakeholders in the US and India to modernize systems that support the full employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the multi‑year HR technology strategy, aligning investments with HR and business objectives.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of HR application administrators and a staff‑level HR Systems Architect.
• Provide hands‑on administration, configuration and support for the full Workday suite and related payroll, benefits, talent, and recruiting modules.
• Own the technical relationship with Ashby (ATS) and oversee the employee engagement survey platform.
• Direct integration architecture across HR ecosystem (ADP, NetSuite/ERP, SSO, downstream data platforms) and manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with US and India regulations, conduct audits, and maintain data governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years progressive HR technology/HRIS experience.
• 4+ years of people‑management experience leading senior individual contributors or staff‑level architects.
• Proven experience owning HR technology strategy and roadmap for a global organization.
• Broad hands‑on expertise across payroll, benefits, talent management, talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, and employee engagement.
• Experience supporting HR systems in multiple geographies, ideally the US and India.
• 4+ years of Workday administration/configuration across the full module stack.
