Senior Manager, Data Architecture

About the role

The Senior Manager, Data Architecture will define and evolve Stryker's enterprise Data & Analytics vision, leveraging Azure, Databricks, and Lakehouse principles. This hybrid role leads complex, business‑critical initiatives and ensures secure, scalable, cost‑efficient data platforms across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define multi‑year data architecture roadmap and standards, driving Azure‑native, governed platforms.
• Lead architecture for cross‑domain initiatives, integrating SAP and non‑SAP data across commercial, supply‑chain, manufacturing, and finance domains.
• Modernize enterprise data solutions to support current and historical business data needs.
• Migrate reporting platforms to Azure, decommission legacy systems, and enforce data lineage, classification, security, and governance.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GxP, SDLC, validation, and change‑management standards.
• Partner with senior engineering, product, and business leaders to shape technology strategy and evaluate emerging AI technologies.
• Advance AI readiness by enabling governed data consumption, semantic models, and responsible generative AI adoption.
• Serve as the top technical authority, mentor principal architects, and represent Data & Analytics in enterprise architecture forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 14+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Data Engineering, including at least 3 years of people‑management experience.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale technology strategies and multi‑year transformation roadmaps.
• Executive leadership skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts.
