Senior Manager – City Operations

About the role

Porter is looking for a senior leader who will own the entire city operation in Kerala, shaping the brand that customers think of first when they need to move anything—from a single carton to a full house. This is a hands‑on, growth‑focused role where you will be responsible for revenue, demand, supply, team performance, customer experience and the full P&L.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership across all Porter service lines in Kerala cities; diagnose issues, build missing pieces and scale successes.
• Design and execute demand‑generation initiatives, partner with central marketing and product teams to localise campaigns.
• Build and maintain a high‑quality supply engine – onboarding, activation and retention of partners.
• Own customer experience, resolve escalations quickly and implement systems to prevent repeat issues.
• Lead, hire and coach a 20+ member team, managing attrition as a core metric.
• Develop deep knowledge of Kerala’s micro‑market dynamics and feed insights to central leadership.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Analytics and Central Ops to create SOPs and go‑to‑market plans.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in operations, category management or city‑level P&L roles.
• Proven track record of building and leading teams, not just coordinating.
• Strong analytical mindset combined with on‑ground instinct.
• Willingness to spend time in the field from day one.
• Excellent communication skills that influence up, down and across the organisation.
