Senior Logistics Executive / Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Scheduler

About the role

We are looking for a senior logistics professional to manage inventory levels of raw materials and components, ensure material availability for the Master Production Schedule, and drive supply‑chain efficiency for Valeo’s automotive operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control inventory levels for assigned raw material and component families.
• Track Master Production Schedule (MPS) performance and propose preventive actions to guarantee material availability.
• Set optimal inventory targets and lead reduction initiatives for the assigned families.
• Measure Supplier Service Rate (SSR) and develop action plans to improve supplier performance.
• Plan weekly forecasts for suppliers based on sales, inventory, and operations data.
• Ensure timely receipt of materials, communicate precise information to suppliers, and resolve blocking issues quickly.
• Participate in logistics and purchasing meetings, follow up on action plans, and support implementation of pull‑flow, Kanban, EDI, and milk‑run processes.
• Define inbound transportation plans with external flow analysts and support inventory counting activities.
• Alert sales and management in case of supply crises, coordinate priorities, and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain regular contact with key suppliers and develop logistics protocols in collaboration with purchasing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, supply‑chain scheduling, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MPS data and supplier performance metrics.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management.
• Ability to work under pressure and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
