Senior Linux Administrator

About the role

Check Point is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join its IT Operations team. The role focuses on managing Linux‑based services and virtual machines, driving automation and AI‑enhanced processes to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Linux virtual machines – provisioning, configuration, hardening, patching, monitoring, compliance, maintenance and decommissioning.
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps and Development teams to enhance platform reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux and infrastructure issues in production.
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase repeatability of operational processes.
• Identify and drive AI adoption opportunities within IT Operations to improve troubleshooting, knowledge management and incident response.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of system performance, availability, security and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• Strong background administering and troubleshooting Linux operating systems in enterprise or production environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement automation solutions.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability and security.
• Interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance operational workflows.
