Senior Legal Executive

About the role

The Senior Legal Executive will serve as a core anchor for the organization’s commercial operations, overseeing day‑to‑day contract management and providing targeted support for ongoing litigation and dispute resolution. The role ensures legal risk mitigation across business agreements and assists external counsel on court‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, redline and finalize a wide range of commercial agreements, including Service Agreements, Vendor Contracts, NDAs, MoUs, Master Service Agreements, SaaS/IT Agreements and Procurement Contracts.
• Negotiate contract terms with internal business units and external counterparties to protect corporate interests and balance risk.
• Maintain a centralized contract repository, track renewal and expiration dates, send automated notifications and ensure post‑execution compliance.
• Identify legal, operational and financial risks in commercial transactions and advise stakeholders on mitigation strategies.
• Update standard contract templates, playbooks and clause libraries to streamline contracting workflows.
• Conduct focused legal research using databases such as Manupatra, SCC Online and Westlaw.
• Draft preliminary legal notices, response letters, cease‑and‑desist notices and assist in preparing case dossiers.
• Liaise with external law firms, brief external lawyers and track fee caps and deliverables.
• Maintain up‑to‑date tracking of active court cases, arbitrations, regulatory notices and statutory compliance hearings.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. / B.A. LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• 2 to 4 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong mastery of contract law, commercial law and legal redlining.
• High attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
