Senior Legal Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Executive to lead the review and management of a wide range of legal documents and to support the organization’s litigation and compliance activities. The role works closely with internal teams and external counsel to mitigate legal risk and ensure consistent legal practices across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess contracts and agreements such as MOUs, joint development agreements, lease deeds, sale deeds, space‑sharing agreements, rental agreements, and more, from a legal risk perspective.
• Collaborate with external advocates to issue public notices, respond to objections, prepare case briefs, and provide required documentation for filing or defending lawsuits.
• Present evidence and case files before courts as needed.
• Audit customer‑related documentation, including ID proof, applications, signatures, and loan documents.
• Drive the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Legal Department and ensure uniform legal practices throughout the organization.
• Provide timely legal support to internal departments and coordinate with key stakeholders to produce error‑free agreements.
• Liaise with vendors, customers, and retailers to resolve queries during agreement finalisation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level legal professional with extensive experience in contract review and litigation support.
• Proven ability to work with external counsel and manage public notice processes.
• Strong analytical skills for auditing customer documentation and mitigating legal risk.
• Experience in developing and enforcing legal SOPs across an organization.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal teams and external partners.
