Senior Legal Counsel – Mumbai

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join the in‑house legal team of a leading hospitality organization in Mumbai. The role offers a broad legal mandate, exposure to strategic business initiatives, and the opportunity to work on high‑impact matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A transactions and strategic growth initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Manage litigation and arbitration matters in coordination with external counsel.
• Advise business teams on legal, regulatory, and contractual issues.
• Conduct legal due diligence and identify legal risks.
• Review and update legal templates, policies, and SOPs in line with evolving regulations.
• Handle matters relating to licensing, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong experience in commercial contracts, litigation, and corporate advisory.
• Exposure to M&A transactions and legal due diligence (preferred).
• Prior in‑house experience (desirable).
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
