Senior Lawyer – Litigation & Advisory

About the role

The Senior Lawyer will join a reputable legal practice in Mumbai, handling complex litigation and advisory matters for a diverse client base. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the opportunity to lead high‑stakes cases, mentor junior colleagues, and shape internal best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, pleadings, petitions, affidavits and legal opinions.
• Represent clients in courts, tribunals and other legal forums, managing all phases of litigation.
• Provide strategic legal advice, develop case strategies and maintain comprehensive case files.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research and prepare case notes, documentation and briefing materials.
• Mentor junior lawyers and support staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as opposing counsel, regulatory authorities and expert witnesses.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognized institution; LL.M. or specialized certifications are a plus.
• Valid license to practice law in India with substantial post‑qualification experience, preferably in Mumbai.
• Strong expertise in litigation, dispute resolution and advisory work, capable of managing complex cases independently.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to internal process improvements.
