Senior Java Tech Lead – Vice President

About the role

Citi FX Technology is seeking a Senior Java Tech Lead to drive strategic initiatives on its FX trade processing platform. The role combines hands‑on development with leadership, guiding modernisation, cloud enablement, and best‑practice adoption across global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support modernisation of the FX trade processing platform and migration to a new strategic risk platform.
• Design and integrate trade‑feed, reconciliation, and control components.
• Champion cloud solutions to improve automation testing and reduce manual environment management.
• Accelerate regression testing cycles and enable parallel testing of multiple projects.
• Coach junior developers and analysts, promoting clean‑code and test‑driven development.
• Resolve high‑impact problems by evaluating complex business and system processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of clean‑code practices and test‑driven development.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior staff.
• Experience with legacy system modernisation and cloud migration projects.
