Senior General Ledger Accountant

About the role

CBRE Business Services Organization is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger for its clients. You will work within the Controlling function, supporting financial controls and reporting for management and shareholders.

Key responsibilities

• Answer accounting queries and prepare financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Review journal entries for accuracy and proper classification.
• Analyze accounting variances, reserves, assets, and expenditures, providing recommendations.
• Maintain, record, and reconcile billings and accounts receivable for small to medium‑sized clients.
• Create month‑end entries, reconcile discrepancies, and post to the general ledger.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and verify data flow from subsystems.
• Examine financial documents for compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Up to 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
