Senior Full Stack Java Engineer – AI & Streaming Platform

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and own production‑grade Java backend services and modern UI applications. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions for the Business Intelligence platform, including AI components and streaming capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based backend services and REST APIs in a distributed architecture.
• Build and enhance UI applications using Angular and Node.js.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, unit/integration testing, and automation.
• Drive engineering best practices such as clean architecture, performance optimization, and resiliency.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and resolve AI‑related problems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle: estimate, design, develop, test, deploy, configure, and document.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance and hands‑on code reviews.
