Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript) – Mumbai

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to own and evolve SiftHub’s frontend across web, Chrome extensions, Microsoft add‑ins, and Google Sheets. You will build polished, AI‑powered experiences for enterprise users while collaborating closely with founders and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture, performance, reliability, and cross‑surface compatibility of the SiftHub web app, Chrome extension, and Microsoft add‑in.
• Develop and maintain integrations with Chrome Extension APIs, Office.js, Google Sheets API, and service workers.
• Design and maintain component systems and design‑token infrastructure.
• Drive frontend performance optimisation, including load times, rendering, memory usage, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with NLP and backend engineers to embed AI outputs into responsive UIs.
• Uphold code quality through reviews, patterns, and technical standards.
• Work directly with founders on high‑impact AI problems beyond typical CRUD tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend stacks (React, TypeScript, Redux or Flux, Webpack).
• Experience building for platforms beyond standard web apps, such as browser extensions or Office add‑ins.
• Familiarity with platform constraints, lifecycle, and edge cases of Chrome extensions, Office.js, and Google Sheets.
• Proven ability to reason about component design and state‑management trade‑offs.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimisation in production.
• Current experience in the SaaS domain and a product‑focused organization.
