Senior Executive - Payments - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its payments portfolio into QR acquiring. The Senior Executive will build the QR acquiring business from the ground up in a defined territory, hiring and leading a field sales team, and overseeing QR deployment, transaction volume and GMV growth.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate the Field Operations Staff (FOS) and monitor their productivity.
• Acquire merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels and build relationships with key decision‑makers for business development.
• Map FOS coverage to ensure proper distribution and manage channel relationships.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High energy, self‑starter attitude with a passion for field work and retailer engagement.
