Senior Engineer – Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modelling (Water)

About the role

AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead hydraulic and wastewater modelling projects across multiple regions, including the UK, Ireland, the US, the Middle East, and ANZ. The role involves building and calibrating models, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate InfoWorks ICM models for CSOs, pump stations, treatment works, and flood mitigation schemes.
• Provide technical mentorship, review junior modellers’ work, and deliver training on modelling concepts.
• Lead project execution, coordinate with lead offices, manage resources, and conduct QA/QC reviews.
• Support bid preparation, program management, and business development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline and chartered status (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, PE) or working towards it.
• 6–12 years of experience on international wastewater and hydraulic modelling projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and ensure on‑time delivery.

Required skills

• InfoWorks ICM, SewerGEMS, PCSWMM for hydraulic modelling.
• ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro and MapInfo for spatial data analysis.
• Programming and automation tools such as RTC, Ruby, and SQL.
• Asset scoping for manholes, flow monitors, and depth monitors.
