Senior Engineer – Front Line Manager (Shift Operations)

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Front Line Manager will supervise shift operations of a value stream, leading shop‑floor associates to achieve safe, high‑quality production. This role combines hands‑on production management with coaching and continuous‑improvement responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Organise production set‑up according to the schedule, assign tasks and ensure adherence to standard procedures, BPS and work instructions.
• Conduct daily safety and quality checks, record shift events (attendance, breakdowns, quality issues, performance) and hand over a concise summary to the next shift.
• Track performance KPIs such as OEE, FPY, scrap rate, tool life and production leveling; identify deviations and work with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain shop‑floor discipline, IR compliance and deviation‑management processes while driving continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and coach entry‑level associates, fostering skill development and a culture of safety and quality.

• Proven experience supervising shift operations in a manufacturing environment.

• Excellent organisational skills to manage production schedules and record‑keeping.
