Senior Engineer – Front Line Manager (Shift Operations)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to act as Front Line Manager for shift operations within Bosch’s manufacturing site in India. The role oversees a value stream, drives productivity, ensures safety and quality standards, and mentors shop‑floor teams to achieve operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily shift meetings (SQCD, productivity, safety) with associates, cross‑functional team members and vendors.
• Monitor and record shift performance metrics such as OEE, FPY, productivity pcs/hr, scrap and tool life, and ensure seamless hand‑over between shifts.
• Conduct safety, quality and shop‑floor checks, document deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Coach and develop entry‑level associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain shop‑floor discipline, attendance, breakdown reporting and adherence to IR standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Strong ability to lead teams, communicate clearly and manage shift‑wise operations.
• Track record of meeting productivity, quality and safety KPIs.
• Analytical mindset to identify deviations and implement corrective measures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) principles.
• Familiarity with OEE, FPY and other production performance metrics.
• Experience with shop‑floor documentation and deviation management.
