About the role
KONE is seeking a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager to lead installation projects in Chennai. The role combines site supervision, safety and quality management, and coordination with customers and subcontractors to ensure successful handovers.
Key responsibilities
- Accountable for safety, quality and productivity during installation and handovers, and for corrective actions on non‑conformities.
- Ensure correct KONE installation methods, tools and risk assessments are applied on site.
- Plan and organise installation activities, site storage, logistics and resource allocation.
- Manage customer relationships, communicate progress and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop the installation team and subcontractors, ensuring training, certification and wellbeing.
- Drive continuous improvement using LEAN principles, waste reduction and process optimisation.
Required profile
- Proven experience in supervising large‑scale installation projects with a focus on safety and quality.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate teams, manage subcontractors and handle site‑level training needs.
