Senior Engineer – Advanced Flight Management System (FMS)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Advanced Flight Management System (FMS) team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, developing, and verifying safety‑critical avionics software within a DevOps environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify safety‑critical FMS software following DO‑178B/C Level A standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, drive automation, and continuously improve software quality.
• Collaborate with systems, certification, and cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance and product excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, electronics, computer science or a related field.
• 3–10 years of avionics software development experience, with mandatory hands‑on work on Flight Management Systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with DO‑178B/C certification processes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and scripting languages.
• Embedded real‑time software development expertise.
