Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer – Air Conditioning

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Embedded Software Testing Engineer with strong hardware knowledge and automation expertise to lead validation and verification of air‑conditioner products. The role involves defining test strategies, managing both manual and automated testing, and ensuring product quality across embedded platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies for embedded software and firmware, including functional, non‑functional, integration, regression, and white‑box testing.
• Prepare, configure, and maintain hardware test benches and setups, using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and reusable modules for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Drive defect logging, reporting, verification, and validation processes using tools such as JIRA and GitHub.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to communicate technical and functional issues and act as a subject‑matter expert for software testing and automation.

Required profile

• BE in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) for new product development.
• Background in IoT, embedded software and firmware testing on large‑scale projects.
• Willingness to travel within and outside India for project needs.

Required skills

• Embedded software testing, white‑box techniques.
• Hardware test bench setup and use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters.
• Microcontroller interfacing and communication protocols (Modbus, UART, SPI, I2C, H‑Link).
• Test management and bug‑tracking tools (JIRA, GitHub).
• Test automation and automation framework development.
