Senior Embedded Developer – Airbag Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Developer to join Bosch’s Airbag software team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, implementing and testing safety‑critical embedded software for automotive airbag systems, working closely with cross‑functional hardware and system engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded C applications on microcontrollers using RTOS and industry‑standard communication protocols.
• Design, implement and debug CAN, FlexRay, UDS/KWP and SPI interfaces using tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe and Lauterbach.
• Collaborate with a dedicated project team, participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with automotive standards (ISO 14229, ISO 14230).
• Automate build, test and integration processes using Jenkins, CI pipelines and version‑control systems (ALM/RTC/GIT).

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑10 years of experience in embedded software development for the automotive domain.
• Strong self‑motivation, ability to work independently and as part of a Scrum team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Embedded C and C++ programming, RTOS concepts.
• Microcontroller/microprocessor development, CAN/FlexRay/UDS/KWP/SPI protocols.
• Debugging tools: CANalyzer, CANoe, Lauterbach, Oscilloscope.
• Scripting languages: Shell, Perl, CAPL, Make.
• Version control: ALM, RTC, GIT.
• Build and CI tools: Jenkins, continuous integration, test automation.
• Model‑based development: MATLAB/Simulink, TargetLink, Rhapsody.
