Senior Drainage / Hydrology Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Drainage/Hydrology Engineer to lead planning, analysis and design of surface and subsurface drainage systems for large infrastructure projects. The role involves hydrological modelling, flood risk assessment and storm‑water management while ensuring compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hydrology and hydraulic analyses, including rainfall‑runoff, watershed modelling and flood estimation.
• Design storm‑water drainage systems such as roadside gutters, culverts, pipelines and retention/detention facilities.
• Develop floodplain maps, assess flood risks and prepare reports for approvals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Hydrology or Water Resources Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering end‑to‑end drainage design for urban, highway, airport, seaport or railway projects.
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic modelling tools such as HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, MIKE FLOOD/URBAN.
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, InfoWorks and GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS).
