Senior DevOps Network Engineer – Operations

About the role

Five9 is seeking a Senior DevOps Network Engineer to operate in a 24/7 SaaS environment, designing and automating large‑scale IP networking components for its cloud contact‑center platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and oversee highly scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, digital‑twin dry‑running, and zero‑downtime deployment of network configurations.
• Champion the Network‑as‑Code paradigm by establishing enterprise‑wide GitOps workflows and using Git as the single source of truth for network state.
• Drive strategic network automation, creating reusable code frameworks and playbooks to eliminate manual configuration toil at global scale.
• Design and optimize massive‑scale software‑defined networks (SDN) and container networking interfaces (CNIs) supporting multi‑region cloud and bare‑metal environments.
• Serve as the SME/Tier 4 for complex network, routing, and overlay issues, resolving challenges across physical underlays and software‑defined layers.
• Implement next‑generation telemetry, monitoring, and alerting‑as‑code platforms for proactive auto‑remediation of performance, security, and capacity issues.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with a focus on large‑scale network design and automation.
• CCIE‑level (or equivalent) mastery of core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN) and deep knowledge of Linux networking internals.
• Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and driving cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong background in VoIP, RTP, SIP peering, and Session Border Controllers is highly advantageous.
