Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will partner with Assent’s Cloud Operations and Engineering teams to design, develop and operate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for a global multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will own the reliability of production deployments, ensure testability of every commit, and drive automation across the full software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD systems that enable high-frequency, reliable releases.
• Write Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and manage secure, scalable cloud environments on AWS and Azure.
• Maintain and operate AWS resources, Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible for build and release automation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Cloud Ops to design, implement and support scalable infrastructure and services.
• Improve observability and monitoring with OpenTelemetry, New Relic and Kibana.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and lead capacity-planning and load-testing initiatives.
• Identify performance, reliability and maintainability gaps and implement corrective solutions.
• Ensure all systems adhere to security best practices and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of DevOps experience with automated build, test and deployment pipelines.
• Proven experience automating deployments on Amazon Web Services.
• Strong background writing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Hands-on scripting expertise in Bash and PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and GitHub (or similar) orchestration.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
