Senior Development Lead – Java/J2EE

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Development Lead to own the design and delivery of scalable, cloud‑native backend systems. You will work closely with product, frontend, platform and business teams to build reliable solutions that power our restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, cloud‑native backend services.
• Drive architecture decisions, micro‑services adoption and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, platform and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
• Own production stability, performance optimisation and critical issue resolution.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence across teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with strong expertise in Java/J2EE.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, micro‑services and REST APIs.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures and event‑driven applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
