Senior Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Design Engineer will independently research, design, develop, and verify components for medical devices. Working in a hybrid environment, you will translate design inputs into detailed engineering specifications and prototype solutions to demonstrate proof of concept.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sub‑system level designs, create and refine engineering documentation, and maintain the Design History File.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management teams to ensure project success.
• Apply industry standards, design controls, and risk management practices to meet regulatory requirements.
• Prototype multiple design options, analyze results, and provide technical recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably 4.5–7 years in medical device design.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T and CAE applications.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and mechanical designs.
