Senior Data Analyst – Python & PySpark

About the role

Capco is seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong Python and PySpark expertise to support data migration and insight delivery for financial services clients. You will work on complex data sets, ensure data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders across banking and market‑risk domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and obtain source data required to deliver insights and use cases.
• Determine data mapping to join multiple data sets from various sources.
• Create methods to highlight and report data inconsistencies for user review.
• Propose suitable data migration sets to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist teams with processing data migration sets as required.
• Plan, track and coordinate the data migration team, including migration run‑books and scope definition.

Required profile

• Strong data analyst background with financial services experience.
• Experience using data models and data dictionaries in banking and financial markets.
• Knowledge of domains such as Party/Client, Trade, Settlements, Payments, Instrument pricing, and Market/Credit Risk.
• Ability to design strategic, optimal solutions and avoid short‑term workarounds.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of control requirements surrounding data handling.
