Senior Corporate Counsel

About the role

The Senior Corporate Counsel will support Wipro’s Partner Ecosystem by drafting, reviewing and negotiating strategic partner agreements and advising business teams on related legal matters. The role involves regular interaction with senior stakeholders, strong business acumen and the ability to protect the company’s interests in complex negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of partner contracts, including software license, cloud, IT services, IP, marketing, ISDA, construction, property and financing agreements.
• Advise business units on legal and compliance issues, especially data protection and cross‑border transactions.
• Communicate regularly with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align legal strategy with business objectives.
• Create contract templates, playbooks and deliver training to other legal teams.

Required profile

• 11‑15 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with at least 3 years in‑house.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong academic credentials.
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership and manage complex negotiations.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating software license agreements and SaaS, IaaS, PaaS contracts.
• Knowledge of IT services, cloud hosting, IP licensing, online advertising, ISDA and structured finance documentation.
• Understanding of open‑source compliance, data protection regulations and cross‑border legal issues.
• Familiarity with contract dispute resolution and litigation processes.
