Senior Compiler Optimization Engineer – LLVM

About the role

We are looking to hire a Senior LLVM Compiler Engineer to develop compilers for NVIDIA's world‑leading GPUs. The role focuses on creating high‑performance compilers that unlock the potential of GPU hardware across graphics, deep learning, scientific computing, and autonomous driving workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Be part of NVIDIA's re‑targetable GPU compiler backend team.
• Work on challenging problems in register allocation, instruction scheduling, synchronization, and loop optimizations.
• Develop innovative solutions to optimize Deep Learning, Ray Tracing, and HPC workloads in collaboration with domain experts.
• Solve unique problems arising from compiling for massively parallel GPU architectures.
• Influence and contribute to the design of new GPU architectures.

Required profile

• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in compiler design.
• Strong background in program analysis and high‑level optimizations.
• Excellent C and C++ programming skills.
• Hands‑on experience with compiler infrastructures such as LLVM or GCC.
• Good understanding of processor architecture.
• Experience working in a global team.
• Self‑motivated and able to get things done.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to influence others.
