Senior Commercial Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Officer to join Adani Group’s logistics and energy business. The role will support customers by handling financial transactions, addressing queries, and driving commercial growth across key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial ledgers, provisions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor cargo inventory ageing, process refunds, and manage short‑term closures in line with contracts.
• Prepare and validate Delivery Orders, credit/debit notes and keep detailed records of port‑related financial activity.
• Implement debtor management strategies, control mark‑to‑market exposure and handle Letters of Credit compliance.
• Calculate interest charges, rent adjustments and quality‑related penalty premiums.
• Conduct market mapping, identify new key accounts, and support product development initiatives.
• Gather market intelligence on pricing, coal quality feedback and competitor activity.
• Promote IRM registration for customers and ensure new orders follow the mandated process.
• Respond promptly to customer queries related to financial transactions and perform reconciliations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or financial roles within logistics, energy or related sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to manage complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Detail‑oriented approach to ensure accurate record‑keeping and compliance.

Required skills

• Financial accounting and control.
