Senior Associate – VAT Global Tax Operations

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Global Tax Operations (GTO) team in Gurugram. The role focuses on VAT and broader tax compliance, supporting multinational clients with end‑to‑end tax return preparation, filing and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file VAT and other tax returns for clients across multiple jurisdictions.
• Calculate tax instalment payments and manage tax compliance calendars and workflow tools.
• Perform reconciliations, including return‑to‑provision and other tax accounting tasks.
• Assist with jurisdiction‑specific monthly tax accounting and provision reporting.
• Support tax controversy management by drafting responses to audit questionnaires and coordinating with clients.
• Act as a tax‑technology advisor, recommending and implementing technology solutions for tax processes.

Required profile

• Senior Associate level with solid experience in tax compliance and VAT.
• Understanding of global tax operations, transfer pricing documentation and cross‑border tax issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with PwC network firms and client teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
